Fang Today
Date: Sunday 5th February 2012Fang is a major regional town in northern Chiang Mai Province, located 150 kilometres north of Chiang Mai city via Highway 107.
Neighboring districts are (from the northeast clockwise) Mae Ai, Mae Suai, and Chai Prakan of Chiang Mai Province again and to the west, the Shan State of Myanmar. Fang is approximately 24 kms from the Myanmar border.
Doi Fha Hom Pok, the 2nd highest mountain in Thailand, is located in Doi Fha Hom Pok National Park in the Fang district.

Doi Ang Khang is a mountain / village located at the end of Highway 1249, access is 14 kms south of Fang township, turn west off Highway 107.
Wat Chedi Ngam is located in central Fang, on the main road - left side if heading north, between the two mid-town sets of traffic lights.
